Choosing to Grow vs. Choosing to Stay the Same

The choice to work with a coach is a personal journey.  We’re often taught that asking for help is a sign of weakness.  Exposing a vulnerability is not wise because others are looking for a way to beat you.  Oh, the ridiculous things we’re taught.

gregdavisThe truth is, everyone needs a coach.  Sometimes it’s only for a season to get through a short-term problem.  Other times, it’s a long-term need to stay on track.  Asking for help is not a weakness, it’s a sign of strength to know you need someone to be there for you.

I approach coaching in a way different from what others might, I start with music.  You see, I started playing music as a teenager and it’s why I’m a successful person today.  I learned everything about running a successful business by playing in a band.  It gave me the opportunity to work with international recording artists, tour and get radio play for my songs.  Then, I started working for corporate America in digital marketing and eCommerce.  I experienced an entirely different set of rules and sadly, I saw a lot less passion in my co-workers than I experienced in the music industry.  Too often, they did what they did to pay the bills, but they weren’t living their dream.

The most important question I have for you right now is this.  If money were no object, what would you do for the rest of your life?

I asked myself that and the answer was easy.  I want to help artists, musicians and other creative professionals become more profitable with their talents.  I have a deep passion for seeing other people succeed at something they love.

So, now you.  What was your answer?  There’s a likely chance that whatever it is sounds risky.  It probably sounds difficult and you probably hear people in the back of your head saying “it’s too hard”, “things like that don’t happen to people like you”.  Oh, the ridiculous things we believe about ourselves.

Let’s get real.  Some of the most successful people out there are not smarter than you.  They’re not more talented than you and they’re certainly not better than you.  No, the difference between them and you, may simply be that they were taught or were born with an inherent desire to live as bold as they can.

If you want to live a HUGE life.  Get your happily ever after, you need to be willing to take calculated risks.  You need to be willing to focus on your dreams and cut the clutter.  You need to be able to stay on track and see things through.  My job is to make sure that happens.  I’ll work with you one-on-one and we’ll focus on what you’re trying to achieve in your life.  We’ll ween out the distractions that don’t matter, re-prioritize the things that are truly going to increase your productivity and profitability.

To put things in band terms.  Are you a garage band or an international headliner?  The choice is truly yours.
